Clear answers for the journey ahead.
Practical information about getting started, learning, professional boundaries and your account.
Getting started
What is Hero’s Path Academy?+
Hero’s Path Academy is an independent professional-learning project designed to help learners move from knowing information to noticing, deciding, practising and carrying learning into real situations.
Who is GradQuest for?+
GradQuest is designed for nursing students approaching graduate applications and interviews, recent graduates preparing for practice, and early-career nurses revisiting their professional foundations.
Is GradQuest free?+
Yes. GradQuest is the free, seven-stage entry Quest to Hero’s Path Academy. No payment will be required for GradQuest. Enrolment is being prepared.
Do I need an account?+
An Academy account will be used to save your learning progress once GradQuest enrolment opens. Keep your portfolio and working documents in a secure place you control.
What will I create in GradQuest?+
A graduate nursing CV, cover-letter foundations, a selection-criteria framework, de-identified STAR examples, interview preparation, a first-shift plan and a professional identity reflection. Together, these form a practical portfolio you can keep and adapt.
Learning the Path
What is a Quest, and what are Trials?+
A Quest is a structured learning experience built around a professional challenge. Trials are the active tasks within it: deciding, practising, explaining, reflecting and creating useful outputs. The Path explains the seven stages and the Mentor woven throughout.
Is Hero’s Path a game?+
The Academy is a metaphor. The professional challenge is real. Narrative gives decisions context and makes the learning journey coherent; it is not a simulation of clinical authority.
Can I work at my own pace, and will progress be saved?+
GradQuest is designed for self-paced learning. Once enrolment opens, your Academy account will be used to save configured learning progress. Keep a separate, secure copy of portfolio documents and do not include patient-identifiable information.
What happens after GradQuest?+
Review what you have created, identify your next development priorities and carry your portfolio forward. The Quest Library shows future pathways. Quests marked Coming soon are not open for enrolment and have no announced release date.
Steps and Ascendancy
What are Steps?+
Steps track progression through Hero’s Path Academy. The singular is Step. Automatic GradQuest Step earning will become active with the course experience; no automatic awards are currently promised.
What is Ascendancy?+
Ascendancy names your stage of Academy progression: Initiate, Apprentice, Champion, Master, Hero and Legend. It sits alongside your Steps total. It is an Academy progression system, not a professional title or clinical credential.
Do Steps or Ascendancy prove clinical competence?+
No. Steps, Ascendancy and Quest completion do not establish clinical competence, professional registration, credentialling or authority to practise. Continue to work within your role and scope, with appropriate supervision and local requirements.
Do I receive a certificate?+
Certificates are not currently offered for GradQuest.
Professional boundaries
Does GradQuest guarantee a graduate position?+
No. GradQuest supports professional development, but it does not guarantee employment, selection, registration or any particular career outcome.
Does this replace supervision, orientation or patient-specific advice?+
No. It does not replace clinical supervision, employer orientation, local policies, professional judgement or patient-specific advice.
Is this affiliated with a university, employer or health service?+
Hero’s Path Academy is an independent educational project. No employer, university, health service or professional-body endorsement is implied.

Existing learners can use the learner account page to log in. New account registration will be introduced when GradQuest enrolment opens.
